What motivated Vaga Lume to invest in people from the Amazon?

Although Brazil became the 6th richest economy of the world, there are huge inequalities among its regions, which can be seen by the fact that 42% of the Amazonian inhabitants still survive with less than 0,5 Brazilian minimum salary a month (approximately US$ 5 a day). These ‘guardians’ of the biggest world natural heritage are men, women and children that clearly need better living conditions and social rights – such as potable water, electricity, sanitation and education.
