Between 5 and 9 of December 2010, it was held the meeting of the Vaga Lume Libraries in Indigenous Communities, an exclusive meeting for representatives of indigenous communities working for the libraries in partnership with Vaga Lume, present in the municipalities of Cruzeiro do Sul (AC ) Campinápolis (MT), Pacaraima (RR), Barcelos (AM) and São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM).
The meeting was held at the Espaço Arvorecer in Sobradinho-DF, and was an important step for the Vaga Lume work at indigenous communities. The team of educators had the opportunity to meet with community representatives to exchange experiences and seek understanding about the meaning of work, which leads to reflection on the reading, writing, speaking, cultures, management of libraries and the history of Brazilian people.
As guests attended Angela Rangel, Elizabeth Strong, NhenetyKariri-Xocó and Sebàstian Gerlic, speakers who shared their experiences with indigenous communities.
