Meeting of Reading Center Areas gathered 30 representatives of the municipalities of Tefé and Uarini (AM), Portel and Breves (PA), between August 3rd to 8th with the aim of training Vaga Lume mediators as multipliers of the Vaga Lume methodology.

The meeting, organized in the form of visits and workshops, addressed the following subjects: reading mediation, training of local communicators and articulators, storytelling, production of handmade books, monitoring and diagnosis, community management and reading center areas methodology.

The participants of the meeting visited the community of Real Parque as an object of study to conduct a community diagnosis. They have also visited the Coopamari Library, Colégio Oswald and the Municipal Library Alceu Amoroso Lima, to observe the differences between a community,a public and school library.

To close the event, the participants visited the Museum of the Portuguese Language. Afterwards, they showed their culture and their way of life in the cultural evening. Manifestations of regional culture as Carimbó, Brega Melody, Lenda da Mandioca and Boi Bumba were presented by the participants.
